About the Client
MyLoop, a California-based startup, sought to address the productivity challenges posed by traditional video meetings. MyLoop's asynchronous communication platform enables teams to share messages that compile into playlists, offering a productive alternative to conventional meetings. The product also serves as a centralized knowledge hub, allowing team members to access important discussions and insights in a structured, easily retrievable format.
Requirements
The design required a modern, accessible, and user-friendly interface that adheres to familiar conventions, such as the Slack channel structure. Key features included user-generated video playlists, user clustering, strict privacy settings, and a streamlined information architecture. Additionally, the design needed to support both dark and light modes, establish a cohesive design system, and undergo comprehensive market research, including a SWOT analysis of similar solutions.
Approach
Our approach began with foundational research to validate the platform's core hypothesis regarding productivity and asynchronous communication. After sketching initial wireframes in Balsamiq, we developed high-fidelity designs in two visual styles, enabling the client to evaluate both aesthetic and functional aspects. Interactive prototypes allowed the client and stakeholders to experience the product’s flow and usability firsthand.
Outcome
The MVP for My Loop was delivered on schedule, successfully meeting the client's requirements. The design featured an intuitive user interface that offered both light and dark modes, aligning with contemporary design conventions. The functionality included a seamless method for users to upload and organize self-recorded videos into playlists, promoting effective asynchronous communication and team collaboration.

Client feedback indicated a high level of satisfaction with the end result, highlighting the product's usability and alignment with their vision for a modern, efficient communication tool. This project not only fulfilled the immediate goals but also laid a strong foundation for future enhancements and iterations.
Result
Intuitive
The intuitive design enhances user experience, making it easy for teams to communicate and collaborate effectively without overwhelming them.
Accessible
The design prioritizes accessibility by offering both dark and light modes, ensuring a comfortable user experience for all team members, regardless of their visual preferences.
The Results
Through a comprehensive design process that included foundational research, wireframing, and high-fidelity prototypes, we successfully delivered an accessible and user-friendly MVP for MyLoop. Our design features both dark and light modes, enhancing usability for diverse user needs and promoting effective asynchronous communication within teams.
